배터리 화학공학은 생명화학공학부 학생들과 배터리공학에 관심을 가진 타 전공 학생들을 대상으로 하는 교과목으로서 2차 전지를 중심으로 한 미래 친환경 에너지 소재와 제조 공정에 대해 다룬다. 최근 전세계적으로 큰 이슈가 되어 있는 배터리용 친환경에너지 소재와 관련한 재료 공학적 원리 및 제조공정에서 발생하는 현상들에 대한 공학적 해석과 설계, 그리고 실제 산업현장에서의 기술적 흐름과 이슈에 대해서도 배운다.

Chemical engineering for batteries deals with future eco-friendly energy materials and manufacturing processes mainly focusing on secondary batteries as a subject targeting students from the department of biochemical engineering and students from other majors who are interested in battery engineering. One can learn about material engineering principles related to eco-friendly energy materials for batteries, which have recently become a big issue worldwide, as well as engineering analyses and design concepts on various phenomena occurring in the manufacturing processes. And actual technical trend and issues on battery industries will be introduced.
